
The word “balance” comes from the Latin term bilanx, which means “having two scales” or “two pans.” The Art of Balance is an embodied exploration of what it takes to stand at the center- the fulcrum- of these two scales. It asks how we can attend and tend to the many aspects of our living existence without losing our inner stability.
Emotional and physical balance are deeply intertwined; when we feel physically stable, our emotions become much easier to navigate . On the other hand, emotional stability allows our bodies to experience both the alertness and relaxation we need to live our lives fully without depleting our vital resources. The Art of Balance sessions are designed to help you reconnect with your core stability through the practice of Qi Gong combined with primal movements, postural realignment, and stress relief techniques.
For those aspiring to become certified instructors in the Little Eight Treasures Qi Gong form, these sessions will count towards your certification.

These are the props that you will need to bring to class:
– 1 soft density foam roller (I recommend this one, but any soft one works),
– 1 soft mini ball (see example here),
– 1 golf ball,
– a sticky mat,
– comfortable clothing.
