According to research, some of the most common signs of iodine deficiency are: Goiter, thyroid disorders, fibrocystic breasts, cold hands and feet (i.e. poor circulation), dry skin, fatigue, inability to concentrate, irritability, muscle weakness, slow memory recall and weight gain.

 Supplement Schedule:

 Week 1:  We use Vitamin C and Celtic salt to help the body rid of flouride and bromide and to minimize the side effects of iodine supplementation

Celtic Salt: ½ to 1 tsp/day

Vit C: start with 3,000 mlg/day and dose up if no diarrhea.  The maximum dosage may get up to 10,000mlg/day.

Week 2:  add,

Iodine supplementation: 12.5 mlg /day.  If, in your last consultation we assessed that you may have a sensitivity to iodine, you will start at 6.25 mlg /day

Week 3:

Iodine supplementation: 25 mlg/day) or 12.5 mlg/day)

Week 4:

Iodine supplementation: 37.5 mlg/day) or 25mlg/day

Week 5 and for 4 to 6 months:

Iodine supplementation: 50 mlg/day or 35.7 mlg/day for week 4 and 50 mlg/day thereafter

Possible side effects

Iodine supplementation may have detoxification side effects: frontal/sinus headaches, skin rash, fatigue…If you present with any abnormal symptom, please contact me as soon as possible so we adjust the dosage.

After 4 to 6mths we will do another 24 Hour Urine Iodine Loading Test to check your iodine levels and find out if there are still traces of bromide and flouride in your system.
